Peer-Review Policy

Ta Dabo Journal of Hausa Language, Literature, Culture and Linguistics (TJHLLCL) employs a two-phase review process to ensure the quality and integrity of published research.

    A – Blind External Review

Submitted articles are assigned to an external reviewer, an expert in the relevant field. Reviewers provide detailed reports and recommendations, which are returned to the authors along with instructions for revision.

    B – Internal Editing

Once articles are accepted, authors are required to update their manuscripts according to reviewer suggestions. The Editorial Team then conducts internal editing, focusing on:

    • Grammatical accuracy
    • Typesetting and formatting adjustments

Articles are not returned to authors after internal editing. Authors are therefore expected to carefully review the galley proofs sent after final typesetting and report any concerns to the Editorial Team before publication.
