1.0 Guide for Paper Submission
The Ta Dabo Journal of Hausa
Language, Literature, Culture and Linguistics (TJHLLCL) welcomes
unpublished scholarly articles, book reviews, essays, and short communications
in the fields of Hausa language, literature, culture, linguistics, and related
disciplines. Manuscripts must be original, not previously published (print or
electronic), and not under consideration elsewhere. Submissions should be sent
to: tadabo@nwukano.edu.ng.
1.1 Acceptable Languages
Articles may be submitted in Hausa
or English.
1.2 Formatting and Structure
Full-length research articles should
include:
- Abstract
- Keywords
- Introduction
- Data/Methodology
- Results and Discussion
- Conclusion
- References
Optional sections may include
appendices. Shorter works (book reviews, poems, essays, short communications)
should follow standard scholarly methodology and style.
1.2.1 Page Format
- Maximum of 20 double-spaced pages (including
notes), in 12-point Times New Roman.
- Margins: 1 inch on all sides, single
column.
- For Hausa texts, use universal Hausa hooked-letters.
1.2.2 Article Title
Titles should be concise and
informative, no longer than 20 words, unless necessary.
1.2.3 Author Names and Affiliations
Include full names and
affiliations under the title. Only the corresponding author’s email and
phone number are required.
1.2.4 Abstract
Provide a 200-word abstract
summarizing objectives, methodology, and key findings. Use single line
spacing in a single paragraph.
1.2.5 Keywords
List at least three (3) keywords
immediately after the abstract.
1.2.6 Citations and References
All citations and references must
follow APA style. Use footnotes (not endnotes) where applicable,
automatically numbered by a word processor.
2.0 Review Policy
All submissions undergo a double-step
peer review to ensure scholarly quality and integrity.
3.0 Plagiarism
All manuscripts must be free from
plagiarism in any form.
4.0 Fees
- Nigerian authors: ₦5,000
(review) + ₦24,000 (processing)
- International authors:
$10 (review) + $50 (processing)
- Fee waivers may be offered occasionally.
